Next is *reading of the body. In this way it indicates how to structure the therapeutic session exactly with your process. Further, directly the *work with the body itself. The session ends with *reading of the body, and a *conversation about your insights-realizations during the work, and brining greater clarity. The session continues to unfold over the next few days!

My name is Meera, I am a holistic therapist with 18 years experience of work. A personal therapy and spiritual path for over 20 years. As a therapist, I rely on my professional education, the Rebalancing® method, therapy training, NDT, apprenticeship and shamanic diets in the Yawanawa tradition, apprenticeship in Tempeldal, and the experience gained along my path.

Rebalancing is a deep, meditative work on the physical, mental, emotional and energy levels. Rebalancing body therapy is a holistс approach that includes body reading, deep connective-tissues massage, joint-release, energy work, breath-work, body-awareness, movement education, as well as work with emotions and their expressions. As a meditative approach to work with the body it deepens awareness, and starts the natural healing process. Rebalancing help the person regain his integrity – the unity of body, mind, and heart. To be in touch with our essence enables us to meet life in a more spontaneous and meaningful way.

It’s a deep, meditative work on the physical, mental, emotional
and energy levels, which brings a person into a state of harmony with himself
and allows him to live in the consciousness

Rebalancing can be translated as “restoring the balance”. Is a form of body-oriented awareness-work outwardly resembles a massage, but this is only a form. Indeed, rebalancing includes various massage techniques and approaches to working with the body. This is a therapy work with a unique synthesis of body-reading, deep connective-tissues massage , joint-release, energy work, breath-work, body-awareness, movement education, as well as work with emotions and their expressions.
FROM HISTORY: Rebalancing is based on the fundamental work of Ida Rolf, which in her body-oriented approach she followed the tradition of Wilhelm Reich, whose student she was. Ida Rolf created Rolfing, a system based on ten sessions. And further Rebalancing expanded by other effective body therapy techniques from Feldenkrais, Traeger Method, Postural Integration, Alexander Technique, Biodynamic, Osteopathy, Polarity Therapy, Shiatsu, Acupuncturen and also incorporates various elements from “body reading” according to John Pierrakos. Body therapists, teachers and practitioners of those various therapy methods, met in India in the late 1970s, in the circles of the spiritual enlightened teacher Bhagwan Shree Rajnesh. In an open and experimental atmosphere and exchanged their experiences and strived for more holistic methods of treatment, where subsequently a method of body therapy Rebalancing was developed. They responded to a need – the lack of contemporary, practical and holistic ways to use our bodies better and live more fully in them. They pursued the goal of working more holistically; in concrete terms, this meant not only treating the symptoms, but looking at the physical, mental and spiritual levels in connection with a larger whole. This need to combine structural bodywork with mental, emotional and spiritual aspects eventually led to the creation of a new, independent body therapy, which was first named rebalancing in 1980. In 1981, rebalancing training was carried out for the first time on the basis of a fixed concept. This laid the foundation for a generally valid training standard. George James, one of the founders of Rebalancing said therefore: “Rebalancing combines the best of everything that works best”. Rebalancing is a very deep work with the body, which covers a person’s physical, mental, emotional and energy levels.
For example, a person comes to a session to get rid of lower back pain, but there is much more to this than just the elimination of pain. The back gets better, and if you continue the work, then a person begins to grow through the transformation and opening of his body, this is work through the body with consciousness!
..or vice versa, a person comes to a session with a request to work with some situation in life, a state, and through reading, the therapist determines the structure of the session for a specific request. Rebalancing is not just a physical impact on the fascia and muscles of the body. It is impossible to separate those from the energy, from the psychological level, from the human being itself. This is a multi-faceted work. And in this approach, we do not have a frozen system, we consider each person as an individual and, based on principles, we adapt the work in a certain way for each person.
The very essence of rebalancing is a loving, sensitive, deep touch. Work with a body is one of the most refined arts and is not so much a matter of technique as an expression of love. Rebalancing treats the body as a gift of great value, not as a mechanism to be fixed, and in this acceptance and relaxation, miracles happen!
Rebalancing means that the body returns to balance. That is, the balance is re-established in the structure of the body. And it has a great impact on a person and life in general. The body is not separated from the psychological, emotional life, energy. The shape of our body shows how we express ourselves and how we feel, what we are in our life, and what our life is like.
Rebalancing assumes that the posture a person demonstrates is the right one for them at this moment. There is a reason why this posture is held by person. When a person becomes aware of their posture, as well as the feelings and patterns behavior behind it, it becomes possible to decide whether they want to leave things as they are or change something. Rebalancing helps to become aware of these often unconscious patterns, to recognize their own potential in them, thus creating a prerequisite for free choice and integrating new opportunities into their life.
In addition, one of the qualities of rebalancing therapy is to come to a lighter, more flexible and smooth posture, mobility of the body, a balance between relaxation and tension. By restructuring the fascial tissue network, the range of motion increases, the issue with pain is often resolved, and thus the quality of life improves.
Rebalancing promotes a process of deeper awareness of one’s own life story, one’s own self-image and one’s own capabilities. The possibility opens up to experience the direct interaction of one’s own thoughts and feelings with physical experience. One’s own strength, one’s own competence and one’s own potential for change can be consciously experienced. Ease, flexibility in thinking and freedom in the body strengthen self-confidence and self-esteem, which promotes self-acceptance, self-awareness and personal responsibility. The unity of body, mind and heart is the door to spirituality!

How does a session go?

The gradual relaxation of muscle tension and the return of body awareness helps to release suppressed energies, feelings, helps to release from bodily “armor”(W.Reich), and muscle rigidity, the body relaxes, and the free flow of energy is restored. At the same time, there is access to be aware of old patterns behavior, habits and unfinished stories that are expressed in certain tension, and thus creating a prerequisite for free choice, also your own “keys” are being developed, and integrate new opportunities into your life. The session can go either a deep and quiet immersion, or with active living of feelings in a process.The process does not end with the completion of direct work with the body, and continues to unfold for several days. The released energy supports us in our process of understanding, exploring ourselves, and helping us find our hidden potential. We get the opportunity to get in touch with our essence and get the opportunity to live more spontaneously and fully.
In the process of rebalancing, not only the therapist is involved in the work, but also the client himself. We work with awareness. And we are more and more immersed in a meditative state and a space of energies. If a client’s physical or mental pain rises, it is transformed through conscious living at the moment, and in this way, too, the client rebuilds the path to his wholeness.
At its simplest level, work with the body releases bodily tension and brings relaxation. As a rule, we receive too little touch, and the skin – our largest organ of sensations – feels left out and not nourished. The skillful and loving touch of a body worker fulfills this natural need. And also, this work penetrates through the layers of blocks and protections accumulated during the lifetime. At the same time, rebalancing has an effect on deeper tissues of the body than those that are affected during a conventional massage. This approach is aimed at releasing the cause of tension in the body, and not at the consequence, thereby remaining present and with care, we pass where we usually choose not to look, and so too a person takes himself back, illuminating the hidden.
By receiving sessions, you learn the acceptance of your sensitivity and vulnerability. In this space transformation through a deep acceptance of ourselves is possible.

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH: when groundbreaking findings in fascia research were published in 2007, what rebalancing & rolfing therapists in particular had previously only been able to feel with their fingers and describe with words could finally be scientifically explained and proven. It was proved that the fascia tissue has six times more pain and movement receptors than muscles, and that posture and psyche can be mutually influenced by it, and in the opposite direction.

How many sessions?

There can be either one or several sessions in a bundle. Each session is a completed process. Speaking of several sessions in a bundle, in this way there is an opportunity to go deeper in layers.
A Rebalancing session can be taken as a single treatment (one or few sessions): due to acute physical discomfort, emotional pain, challenges in a life, or for relaxation, to restore physical and inner balance, or in order to explore the body, mind and heart. For a specific body-oriented theme (see below by link). Individual sessions are just as useful and effective as a whole treatment from 10 session in a structure.
For a profound change, and restoration of physical and inner balance, or support for a deep transformation in life, or in case of chronic complaints, recommended an integrated approach, which consists 10 sessions in structure. These can be done at intervals 1 or 2 sessions per week, it is individualy. This deep work takes several months. And after completing the course, the process unfolds for another 3-4 months. From experience, realizations can continue occur even after years. The ten sessions you can compare it like a journey to yourself.
Sometimes work is adjusted depending on the unique request, experience, needs, and the current life situation of each person individually and thus we do repeat a cycle of 10 sessions in one course, but this is very rare.

The fascia massage techniques specific to each session, allow you and your body to integrate process both consciously and unconsciously. So do not be surprised if after a treatment your posture changes in a positive way both externally and internally.
*Also it is quite possible, by your choiсe to repeat a particular session second times in order to go deeper or to be able to integrate the change process even better. We can use an analogy of working in layers, it’s like an onion, where we move layer by layer, with the permission of the body’s wisdom, we go deeper into the core of the being.
